Henry’s Cafe Bar

I love eating out and so thought that I would share the great and not so great experiences with you all.  At the weekend me and Chris went to Henry’s Restaurant and Bar on Greek Street.

Not expecting much as the initial thoughts were that it was just a bar and the atmosphere was a bit strange with loud music, a bar in the middle and tables round the outside.  The loud music carried throughout and Saturday night obviously brings its fair share of hen parties, but they didn’t really disturb us.

After being ushered to a corner we ordered a beer and cocktail.  The menu had a bit of everything and could be likened to a pub menu, so I choose a burger and Chris had the steak.  Really unsure what to expect we were pleasantly surprised.  The steak was everything you would expect from a French restaurant and the burger was delicious.  Both were accompanied with chunky chips and a small salad of rocket leaves and tomato and just right in size.  We didn’t need anything else afterwards and were more than satisfied.

For a restaurant on Greek Street the prices weren’t too outrageous and the food definitely delivered higher than expectations.  I would recommend it to anyone who is out for food before a night out as you are right in the centre of town and it really won’t disappoint.
